sleep when baby sleeps

Yaaawwwwnnnn…

My typical day with my sweetheart does not involve me sleeping when she sleeps! Whoever said “sleep when the baby sleeps” was delirious because it’s really impossible. Especially for me since I pump milk because breastfeeding is a smidgen near impossible.

Sweetheart eats every two hours and I pump every three hours. So there is always some overlap somewhere during the day. Because Zoe takes about an hour and a half to eat, she’s basically eating throughout the entire day. I have to squeeze in breast milk expression, personal grooming, bathroom breaks, food preparation, food intake and invent time to sleep when I can during the day when I’m not feeding or tending to my sweetheart. I catch some snooze time during the night when I’m not pumping or preparing a bottle–I do eat some apple sauce or other quick snacks during the night.

Whenever a grandma comes over to help out, I end up taking a two-hour nap. But this doesn’t happen every day so sometimes I don’t nap during the day at all. And don’t come near me when it’s 4am feeding time because I believe I could kill you. Seriously, don’t do it.

And, by the way, I haven’t even gone back to work yet.

back from NYC

And I only kind of ♥ it

NYC vs Chicago

NYC has dirtier air, sidewalks and streets - strike 1
NYC has no alleys so you walk by the garbage on the sidewalk :yuck: - strike 2
Getting to the top of the Empire State building took 2 hours - strike 3
You’re OUT!

But at least no one was rude to me and I got faux Coach purses!
