the yarn store got a lotta business that day
A historic building went up in flames yesterday and I was able to snap a few quick pix. It’s the historic Dexter Building on 630 S Wabash Ave. The Orange line was not exiting the Loop so riders had to take the Red line to the Roosevelt stop to transfer to the Orange line.
The Red line was PACKED to the brim with riders so I decided to get off on Harrison and go to Loopy Yarns
to look around. Little did I know that this is exactly where the fire was taking place! Across the street from the Harrison exit I could see the building in smoke and fire trucks everywhere! Here are three pix I took with my Razr:

A beta version of Recolored
is available for download. It’s an application that will add color to photographs that are in black and white. Currently, it only works on a PC running Windows.

Ok, so at my work we have our usual lunch table topics: drugs, sex, potty humor, or combinations thereof. Yes, we usually end up talking about those three things in some variation or make up new hip words to use around the office. The newest word so far is “dickweed” which is a old insult that has found a new breathe of life in our little world.
Anyways, yesterday we topped all other conversations we’ve ever had with the invention of the “pimped out flasher coat” (that’s what I call it anyway).
