I think d-vorce may now be a figment of the imagination. Things are starting to come together in a new and better way.

lyrical translations
So I was talking to one of my good friends and we started talking about songs that we would sing to our children. He said he’d sing Eyes Of Mercy
which are the loveliest lyrics I’ve ever read by a group called October Project
. When I read the lyrics I almost cried! He also sent me these lyrics Bowl Of Oranges
by the group Bright Eyes
(for which I thank him profusely to no end).

D-vorce
Never did I imagine my life would include the D word. But now, it seems, I am victim to d-vorce.
D-Vorce. A cool gang of super people that fly around in anger.
I’m happy and terrified. We have become better friends than anything else. I feel fine with it.
I think it hasn’t hit me yet.

“S-S-S-So-So-Soda Stereo… Buenos Aires, Argentina”
I just got my copy of Soda Stereo’s El Ultimo Concierto DVD
in the mail today and I’m quivering in delight. I immediately popped it in my DVD drive here at work and, of course, I got about five applications trying to play it at once! I eventually used my trusty VLC media player
to play each VOB file. The DVD playing software on my PC is for crap so I had to view the individual files on the DVD and play each chapter by itself.
This DVD makes my year! I remember when they came to Chicago so long ago, I wasn’t able to go. This DVD at least gives me a small taste of what that concert must have been like. And the extras! Oh, just to look at Cerati sing and listen to him being interviewed (with his sexy Argentinean accent). I truly admire Gustavo as an artist and as a human being. He is my one true favorite artist. Here’s a screen grab I made from the DVD of Gustavo playing guitar, click to view it larger in a new window.
Any time that I’m having a bad day I know I can pop this baby in and it will make me feel a thousand times better. I”m in heaven!
