some books
One book that I’m currently reading and one I want.
The book I’m reading right now Web Standards Solutions: The Markup and Style Handbook is well on its way to being my favorite book (besides Gibson’s Neuromancer). It explains why coding with web standards is so important and explains what coding techniques to use over others. It’s absolutely the book to use when you finish learning HTML and CSS.
The one book I need to get is one on PHP and mySQL. There are two books on my list:
- Sams’ PHP and MySQL Web Development
- O’Reilly’s Web Database Applications with PHP & MySQL
I’m prolly going to end up getting the O’Reilly book, because, well, it’s O’Reilly. But the reviews for the Sams book give me food for thought. I’m going to have to go to my local Border’s bookstore and go through both of them. Shoot, maybe I’ll just get both.
