Just got my new digital camera—the Canon A80 to be exact—and I’ve taken my first shot with it.

I spent some time today looking for links to Spanish Rock websites and I’ve come to one conclusion: they’re all ugly. Eh, the genre is all over the place; the artists come from both the Americas (North and South) and all in between. Anyways, I added three links to my links list under “Music”:

The last link has top 10 lists and in there was an entry for Fobia’s “Mas caliente que el sol.” I found out that Fobia released a CD entitled “WOW”; here I was thinking they’d broken up since the longest. Well, the CD has many of their old songs and only a scattering of either new songs, or previously unreleased songs. I’ll have to buy that one sooner or later cuz I *love* their music.

Right now I’m listening to Bachata music from Live365.com (no link because it requires RealPlayer—a big price to pay installation-wise, but I did it, so smack me already). Bachata’s so pretty!

So I went to the Lucybell concert on Wednesday night and it was great! We got there and some local band was playing and the dang sound at the Metro is so distorted that I couldn’t tell if the chick was singing in Spanish or in English. Oh! and they gave us glow sticks when we got in there, guess it’s a give away from the band. Eh…. OH! Lucybell’s drummer is hot!! So HOT!

It was Lucybell’s first time in Chicago, even though they live in the US, they’ve never toured here. They sang some of their new songs and some of their older songs, so it was a great mix. I, of course, was at the almost-very front and was going semi-crazy with a good friend of mine, Betty (who’s so cool, by the way).

This morning on the way into work I saw a big tour bus in front of the Hard Rock Hotel and I started thinking, “I wonder if Lucybell is staying there, since they’re having a concert on Thursday Wednesday.”

Of course, there’s no way for me to find out since there is no good place I can get Spanish Rock news in Chicago. Puta madre!!

Most of the time, I love 80° weather. But this is getting bad, because it’s so damn humid. Right now the humidity is at 57%, but it was 80% in the afternoon! Stic-ky. Ic-ky.

By the way, don’t u hate when you do all this hard work and one e-mail that someone else sends out makes you look bad? I made all these changes to a website and uploaded all the files to a sub-folder on the website’s root. Well, an account manager sent out an email to the client with links to the main site and not the subfolder of the main site. Jeez. The next day when I asked my boss how it went, he said, “the email you sent out had the wrong links.” After getting more info from him, I said, “I only included the link on the top of the email the account manager must of added her own links on each of my bulleted list of items I changed.”

He was like, “Dude! You rock!” (he calls everybody dude, even the girls) and I said, with attitude, “Look, I know I did my job right!” Even said it again with the neck shake and the finger wagging.
